Barnyard Chatter (watercolor)
Joyce Beauvais is exhibiting her latest paintings in April as the River Gallery’s featured artist. Her collection includes watercolor and oil paintings of both people and animals: two-eyed, two-legged, and four-legged. She has added a lot of color to her subjects, which include chickens, fox, deer, cats, and dogs. For humans, she has included sisters, seniors, and a Mexican-influenced MaDonna. Beauvais has also included her “Best of Show” award from the 1St Annual Union Arts Council Competitive Arts Exhibition in Union Parish, where she resides. This award winning painting “DeLoutre Bottom,” is a watercolor on Yupo paper. The painting “Barnyard Chatter” of chickens won third place in the same art show. Joyce finds that trying different subjects in different media challenges her and keeps [her artwork] fun. She hopes everyone who views her work shares in the fun of her creativity.
