Congratulations to Melanie Douthit for her People’s Choice Award at the Union Arts Council’s Art Show at the Watermelon Fest July 25-26, 2014! Over 600 people viewed the exhibition in Farmerville, Louisiana.
Kudos to Donna McGee & Linda Snider-Ward for having artwork accepted into the prestigous Mississippi Watercolor Society’s 29th Grand National Exhibition. Judi Betts was juror, and Only 50 artists were selected. The show will hang October 4 through November 16, 2014. The reception for the show is October 12, 1-3pm, at the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson, MS.

Donna McGee won 1st Place at the Hoover Watercolor Society’s 57th Annual Spring Exhibition, Norsworthy Fine Art Gallery, Shreveport. Linda Snider Ward won the Clyde Connell Memorial Award. The exhibition continues through July 6th, and winning works will travel to the Michelson Museum of Art in Marshall, TX.
Donna McGee – Merit Award at 44th Annual Louisiana Watercolor Society’s International Show, New Orleans, May 2-25, 2014.
Rusty Patterson – accepted into the Red River Revel, Oct. 11-14, 2014, Shreveport, Louisiana.
Stacy Thomas – King and Queen was accepted into the Arkansas Arts Center’s juried exhibition. The exhibition is held July through September.

Red Sky Morning by Donna McGee was accepted into the Mississippi Watercolor Society Grand National. Congratulations Donna!
At the 2013 Peach Festival in Ruston, Louisiana, Debra Heard won a Best of Show for her drawing The Perfect Model and a Third Place for her oil painting Green Jar in the Opaque Category. Joyce Beauvais won Second Place in the Transparent Category for painting Fais-Do-Do Cajun Dancing Party, and Marlen Waters received an Honorable Mention in the Miscellaneous Category for Red Trees on the Lake.
Linda Snider Ward’s graphite drawing Love Goat was accepted into the Louisiana Art Melt in Baton Rouge. Approximately 619 entries were received from across the state and only 60 entries were accepted. The exhibition continues at the Capital Park Museum building through August 2013.

Donna McGee’s Red Sky in the Morning (watermedia) was accepted into the Louisiana Watercolor Juried Show. Her watermedia painting Swampfire was accepted into the Texas and Neighbors Juried Competition.
